Damon & Naomi, an American dream pop/indie folk duo, were formed in 1991 by Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang following Galaxie 500's disbandment. They initially released tracks under the name Pierre Etoile before focusing on Exact Change publishing. Their debut album, More Sad Hits (1992), was produced by Mark Kramer. In 1993, they formed Magic Hour with Kate Biggar and Wayne Rogers, and released three albums by 1996. Their second duo album, The Wondrous World of Damon & Naomi (1995), faced production controversies. The duo's third album, Playback Singers (1998), featured collaborations with Masaki Batoh and Tom Rapp. In 2000, they released a collaborative album with Ghost titled Damon & Naomi with Ghost. Their album, The Earth Is Blue (2005), was released on their own label |20|20|20. Subsequent albums include Within These Walls (2007) and False Beats and True Hearts (2011).
