Michael Rizzo, known professionally as Mike Rizzo and Funk Generation, is an American DJ and record producer from New York City, United States. Active since the early 1990s, the musician developed his skills on local club nights before producing original releases. In 2005, the single “Can't Go On”, credited to Mike Rizzo Presents Allie, reached both the Hot Dance Club Play and Hot Dance Airplay charts published by Billboard. Rizzo's mixed compilations include NYC Dance Party (2002), Webster Hall's New York Dance, Vol. 6 (2003), Trance Nation: America, Vol. 3 (2004), and ThriveMix 01 (2005). The producer collaborated with singers such as Jennifer Green and Sun, and remixed tracks for artists including Britney Spears, Usher, and Keri Hilson. From January to February 2010, the musician headlined the tour Utada: In The Flesh 2010 for singer-songwriter Utada. In December 2010, the remixer received a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-classical for a remix of the single “Orpheus (Quiet Carnival)” by Sergio Mendes.
