Zlatimir Manojlović, known professionally as Zed Mitchell, was born in 1951 in Kruševac, PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia. He entered the music scene in the late 1960s, winning a Radio Belgrade competition with the song "Prolazim" and subsequently joining the reformed band Džentlmeni. After Džentlmeni dissolved, he formed Fleš and then the progressive rock group Dah. In 1977 he founded Gordi, shifting from progressive/hardf rock to heavy metal with albums Pakleni trio (1981) and Kraljica smrti (1982). Parallel to his band work, Manojlović released solo material, including the instrumental Zlatko i njegove gitare (1980) and the 1983 album Jednoj ženi, which was issued in Japan as To One Woman. Relocating to Germany in the 1990s, he produced several blues rock albums under the name Zed Mitchell, such as Springtime in Paris (2010) and Route 69 (2020), featuring his son Todor Manojlović on guitar.
