Days of Fate, a German pop rock band from Dresden, was formed in 1993 by René and Dirk, who had previously been part of Disaster’s Times. They recruited André from the local electro scene and Torsten as their lead singer. The band made their first television appearances on MDR and RTL in April 1993 and released several singles, including "My Decision / Master of Disaster" (1994) and "Conclusions" (1995). Their debut album Gates was released worldwide in 1997. Despite plans for a second album in 1999, internal disagreements led to a temporary split. The band reunited in 2000 and released their second album Homemade Cake of the Day in April 2003. Their third album Traffic, released in March 2007, reached top 10 of the German Alternative Charts (DAC) for three weeks. Days of Fate disbanded following a final concert in Dresden in December 2008.
