Agropop is a Slovenian pop music group founded in 1984 and led by Aleš Klinar. The group became known for humorous songs that satirized Slovenian characteristics, focusing on subjects like farmers, firefighters, and alcoholism. Its origins date to the band Tri palme, later renamed Sajgons, which achieved a major hit in 1984. Agropop's music, which blended turbo-folk and folk music, quickly attracted audiences, leading to extensive performances and a successful concert at Tivoli Hall attended by 8,000 people. The group released 15 albums during its 16-year run and sold around 500,000 cassettes and records, with Za domovino z Agropopom naprej! selling 110,000 copies. After disbanding around 2000, Agropop resumed activity in 2025 with a new lineup.
