Sonny Vincent, born July 7, 1952, in New York City, is an American musician known for his contributions to rock music. His early bands, formed in the mid- and late 60s, included Distance, Fury, and Liquid Diamonds. These groups were later recognized as hard rock and proto-punk. His first official recordings were with Liquid Diamonds in 1969. In 1975, he formed Testors, a band that played at notable venues such as CBGB and Max's Kansas City. The band released the single "Together" back with "Time Is Mine" in 1980. After Testors disbanded in 1981, he moved to Minneapolis and formed Sonny Vincent and the Extreme. In the early 1990s, he relocated to the Netherlands and formed The Dons. He also toured and recorded with Maureen "Moe" Tucker of The Velvet Underground for nine years. Notable albums include Parallax in Wonderland (1999), The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (2003), and Snake Pit Therapy (2021).
