Katarzyna Nosowska, born on August 30, 1971, in Szczecin, is a Polish alternative rock singer, songwriter, composer, writer, columnist, and radio presenter. She began her musical career in the late 1980s and performed with several bands, including Szklane Pomarańcze, Włochaty, Kafel, Dum-Dum, and Vivid. In 1992, she co-founded the band Hey with Piotr Banach, alongside Marcin Żabiełowicz, Jacek Chrzanowski, and Robert Ligiewicz. The group achieved nationwide success with albums including Fire (1993), Ho! (1994), and Live! (1994). Nosowska began her solo career with puk.puk (1996), followed by Milena (1998), Sushi (2000), UniSexBlues (2007), Nosowska/Osiecka (2008), and 8 (2011). Following Hey's suspension of activity in 2017, she released the solo albums Basta (2018) and Degrengolada (2023). Her recordings also include the single “Tramwaje i gwiazdy” with Miuosh and a series of singles released in 2026, including “SOS Chaosu,” “Wstyd,” “Yoko,” “Szkoda braw,” “Sedno,” “9/10,” “Milczę patrzę,” and “Słowa.” Nosowska holds the record for the most Fryderyk Awards won by an artist, with 34 awards from 87 nominations.
