Runemagick is a Swedish death-doom metal band from Göteborg, Sweden, formed in 1990 by Nicklas Rudolfsson as a one-man band. Robert Pehrsson joined the group shortly after, and they recorded their first demos between 1991 and 1992. After facing setbacks such as failed record deals, difficulties finding permanent members, and losing their rehearsal space, the band went on hiatus in 1993. Rudolfsson revived the group in 1997 with Fredrik Johnsson and Peter Palmdahl, signing a three-album contract with Century Media Records. Their debut studio album, The Supreme Force of Eternity, was released in 1998, followed by Enter the Realm of Death (1999) and Resurrection in Blood (2000). The band left Century Media in 2001 to join the Norwegian label Aftermath Music, subsequently releasing eight studio albums between 2002 and 2007, including Darkness Death Doom (2003) and Dawn of the End (2007). Following a ten-year pause, the group reactivated and released Evoked from Abysmal Sleep (2018), Into Desolate Realms (2019), and Beyond the Cenotaph of Mankind (2023).
