FORMA is an electronic music group from Brooklyn, New York. The band initially consisted of Mark Dwinell on synthesizers and piano, George Bennett on drum programming and percussion, and Sophie Lam on synthesizers. Their debut album FORMA was released in 2011 through Spectrum Spools. Following this, they released their second full-length album Off / On in 2012, also with Spectrum Spools. In 2014, after a lineup change that saw John Also Bennett replace Sophie Lam, FORMA released the EP Cool Haptics on The Bunker New York. Their subsequent albums included Physicalist, released in 2016 via Kranky, which marked their first use of acoustic instrumentation such as piano, flute, and percussion instruments. In 2018, they released another album titled Semblance.
