Schnitt Acht, an American EBM and industrial metal band from Orlando, Florida, was formed in 1989 by Morgan Lekcirt, Virgil L. Hibbs, Abbot Zigler, and later Jeff Paymaster. The group signed with DJ Magic Mike's Majii label in 1989 and released their debut album Subhuman Minds in 1990. This electro-industrial album featured notable tracks such as "Grouch" and "CIC". Following extensive touring between 1991 and 1994, including performances in Europe, Schnitt Acht released their second album Slash and Burn in 1993. The album marked a shift towards a more guitar-driven industrial crossover sound. After completing their final tour in 1994, the band disbanded.
