Hi! I'm Jonathon, a half-assed Americana singer/songwriter obsessed with existential stuff. Most of the music I make is for all the introverts at the party who feel more comfortable hanging out in the corner than they do on the dance floor. Still, I might give you something to move to every once in a while, so don't get too comfortable.
I'm a native Texan, from the Houston area (so be prepared for large amounts of Texas pride), but I've called Nashville, TN home for the past 14 years. My wife and I used to be in a band together, called Dewveall, and we were pretty damn good if I do say so myself. If you're looking for a back catalog, check it out!
Let's see, what else do you want to know? I'm into process philosophy, theoretical physics, religious studies, baseball, hiking, and tacos. I'm mean, really into tacos!
Aside from music, I also host monthly conversations about all sorts of topics like religion, politics, mental health, and just about anything else that "industry" people tell me not to talk about. But I like exploring difficult things too much and think we could all learn so much from each other if we could put aside our fears of the "other." If you like diving into philosophical discussions, find the "IN THE CORNER" page on my website - jdewveall.com - and join in.
If you're reading this, thanks for being interested enough in what I'm doing to get this far. I think we'd probably be friends, if we're not already, so reach out and say hello.
