Creator of Caribbean Urban Jazz, French jazz bassist, composer, arranger and producer based in Paris, Chyco Siméon has spent over a decade carving out a singular space in contemporary jazz and fusion. His playing is defined by a deep groove, melodic writing and improvisational freedom. Raised between Montrouge and Martinique, shaped by a father who put jazz, salsa, classical and Caribbean music in his hands early on, he builds a sound that is entirely his own. Six albums: "Finally" set the tone, "Roots Mwen" and "Ozanam" explored where he comes from, "99%" spoke about where he stands, "Simawon" claimed his artistic freedom, and "Future" (2025, Alcus) opens the next chapter. His path has crossed with Marcus Miller, Arnaud Dolmen, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Kareen Guiock-Thuram, David Linx and Grégory Privat... Next album: 2027.
