Venomous Concept is an American hardcore punk band formed in 2004 by Kevin Sharp of Brutal Truth and Shane Embury of Napalm Death. The group initially consisted of Sharp, Embury, Danny Herrera on drums, and Buzz Osborne on guitar. Their debut album, Retroactive Abortion, was released via Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings in 2004. Osborne was later replaced by Danny Lilker for their second album, Poisoned Apple (2008), with Embury moving to guitar. The band has since released several albums including Kick Me Silly VCIII (2016), "Politics Versus the Erection" (2020) and "The Good Ship Lollipop" (2023). They have also collaborated on split releases with bands such as 324 and Blood Duster.
