Odious Mortem was an American death metal band formed in 2000 by Dan Eggers and KC Howard in San Francisco, California. The group initially consisted of Dan Eggers on guitar and vocals, KC Howard on drums, Ivan Munguia on bass, and David Siskin on guitar. In 2003, they released their demo Gestation of Worms, which led to a contract with Unique Leader Records. Their first album, Devouring the Prophecy, was recorded in 2004 at Legion Studios in Santa Cruz and released in 2005. In November 2006, they completed their second album, Cryptic Implosion, at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, which was released in 2007. The band performed at the Maryland Deathfest that same year. By 2009, members were involved in other projects, and Odious Mortem went dormant, with only occasional live appearances.
