Fuck the Facts, a Canadian grindcore band from Gatineau, Québec, was formed in 1998 by musician Topon Das as a solo recording project. The project began in 1997 and gained attention through numerous early recordings and split releases. Their first full-length CD-R, Discoing the Dead, recorded in 2000 and released in 2001, led to the formation of a full band, including drummer Matt Connell and guitarist Tim Audette, later joined by vocalist Brent Christoff and briefly by bassist Shomir Das. The band followed with releases such as Mullet Fever (2001), building a reputation in the underground scene through extensive touring and split collaborations with bands like Feeble Minded and Subcut. In 2011, they released Die Miserable, which earned them a Juno Award nomination for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year.
