Kofelgschroa, a brass band from Oberammergau, Germany, was formed in 2007 as Kofelmusi. Initially playing traditional folk music, they signed with Munich-based label Trikont and released their debut album Kofelgschroa in 2012. The band's distinctive sound features the tuba as a central instrument, combined with accordion, guitar, and vocals in the Bavarian dialect. They gained recognition for blending traditional music with punk attitude and performed at various concerts. Their second album, Zaun, was released in 2014. In February 2018, founding members Michael von Mücke and Martin von Mücke left the band, after which Kofelgschroa went on a creative break. After, Kofelgschroa made sporadic appearances, including performances at the Oidn Wiesn in September 2022 and the Hohenkammer Open Air in July 2024. The band received notable awards, including the Music Advancement Award of the City of Munich in 2013 and the Bavarian Culture Prize in 2014.
