This precocious musician took to the stage at the age of eleven. Originally from Haute-Savoie, he made his debut in music at the municipal harmony of his city by learning the clarinet. Despite piano lessons at the Geneva Conservatory and those with his essential accordion teacher for his instrument, his learning and experience will be rather self-taught with more than twenty years spent on the boards practicing music for dance. At the age of thirty, he moved to Paris. He was quickly noticed by jazz musicians on the French scene, such as Louis Winsberg and Jean-Marc Jafet, who hired him in their respective groups. In the world of song, as an accompanist, he performs with artists from all walks of life such as Charles Aznavour, Harry Belafonte, Patrick Bruel, Maurane, Gilbert Bécaud, Serge Lama, Andréa Bocelli, Placido Domingo, Grégoire, Zaz, Julien Clerc and many others... In jazz, we find him in particular with Didier Lockwood, Youn Sun Nah and plays in the quartet of Dee Dee Bridgewater for a tour of more than two hundred concerts around the world for the album "J’ai Deux Amours".
His talents as a composer and renowned melodist led him to write for images, entertainment and song, notably for Claude Nougaro, Richard Bona and Grand Corps Malade. He founded his own jazz group and his first album "Les Couleurs d'ici" (1998) nominated for the Django d'Or, his two albums "Jazz / No Jazz" Volume 1 & Volume 2 (2004) "reveal him as a bearer of 'an originality, of an unusual musicality" (Didier Lockwood).
