KYPCK, a Finnish doom metal band, was formed in 2007 by vocalist Erkki Seppänen, guitarist Sami Lopakka, bassist Jaakko Ylä-Rautio, and drummer Antti Karihtala. Their debut album, Черно, released in 2008, was the first album sung entirely in Russian to be released worldwide. The band followed with Ниже = Lower in 2011 and Имена на стене in 2014. KYPCK achieved significant milestones, including the longest Russian tour by a Western band from St. Petersburg to Siberia's Irkutsk. In 2015, they were banned from entering Belarus but returned in 2018 for a concert in Minsk. Their final album, Преступления против человечества = Crimes Against Humanity, was released in 2023. KYPCK disbanded in 2024 following a farewell tour, with the same musicians continuing under a different name and style.
