Elyose, a French alternative metal band from Paris, was formed in 2009 by Ghislain Henry and Justine Daaé. Their initial release was the EP Théogyne in 2009, followed by a cover version of "Diva Dance" in 2010. Elyose's first full-length album, also titled Théogyne, was released in 2012. The band funded their albums through crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo. Their second studio album, Ipso Facto, was released in 2015 and raised €8,000 through crowdfunding. This success led to collaborations with notable artists such as Mark Jansen, Epica, and Raf Pener from TANK for their third album, Reconnexion, which was released in 2018. Elyose has supported acts like Therion in 2012, Tarja Turunen in 2014, and Stream of Passion in 2015. Their music video "Redemption" reached one million views on YouTube in September 2017, coinciding with their European tour alongside The Birthday Massacre and Sirenia.
