Alexander "Alex" Köberlein, born on November 19, 1951, in Schussenried, Germany, is a German musician and singer. He became involved in music at age 14 with his twin brother Georg. In the late 1960s, they started forming their own bands. In 1978, he founded Grachmusikoff after performing ballads in the Swabian dialect during a demonstration. In 1979, he established Schwoißfuaß, which gained popularity by the early 1980s. The group disbanded in 1986 but reunited 10 years later for a revival tour. Köberlein released two high-German albums: Alexander Köberlein (1988) featuring "Fliegen", a radio hit, and Sonnemond (1993). Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Köberlein continued recording and performing with Grachmusikoff.
