Candie Prune was a French rock ensemble from Rennes established in October 1995. The group consisted of the musicians Saholy Diavolana, Laureline Prom, and Arnaud Keb. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by alternative rock and power pop with influences from the ensemble Pixies. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist and guitarist Diavolana. They achieved professional recognition for performing their debut concert at the Bars en Trans festival in 1995. Candie Prune achieved professional recognition for signing their first record contract at the Off of the Printemps de Bourges in 1996. Their recording career began with the debut extended play EP!EP! (1996). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Absurde (1998) which was recorded in London in 1997. They achieved professional recognition for performing on tours with the ensemble Eiffel, the ensemble Calexico, and the ensemble Grandaddy. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for assuming the name Andice Rupen for the studio recording Garage Sessions (2000). The recording featured the musician Gilles Morillon who replaced Keb on drums. The group became inactive in late 2000.
