Thirsty Moon was a German jazz-rock and progressive rock band formed in summer 1971 in Bremen, Germany. The band was founded by brothers Norbert and Jürgen Drogies, who began their musical endeavors in the Bremen beat scene during the 1960s. The group's self-titled debut album, Thirsty Moon, was released in 1972 and was recorded and mixed by producer Conny Plank. They followed with the albums You'll never come back (1974), Blitz (1975), and A Real Good Time (1976), all of which were released on Brain Records, followed by Starchaser (1981) on Sky Records. Their archival releases include the live albums I'll be Back - Live '75 (2006) and Lunar Eclipse - Live at Stagge's Hotel 1976 (2011). Following the band's inactivity, Jürgen Drogies released albums with the new project Back to the Moon, including Dreamcatcher (2007) and 3 (2014).
