Deckchair Orange is an Austrian pop band from Vienna established in 2004. The ensemble consists of vocalist and guitarist Alexander Wieser, guitarist Christoph Wieser, keyboardist Joachim Hackl, bassist Claus Molterer, and drummer Wolfgang Bruckner. The group reached wider visibility for the single "Rose" (2008), which reached number 2 on the Austrian Indie Charts. Their recording career began with the debut eponymous studio recording Deckchair Orange (2009), which was recorded at Sterling Sound in New York City. The ensemble subsequently released the studio recording The Age of the Peacock (2011). The work was produced by the musician Ron Flieger and featured the single "Dance with the Geeks" (2010), which reached professional recognition after its music video was featured on the television station VIVA TV. Deckchair Orange has performed as a support act for international tours with musicians including Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Shout Out Louds, and Electric Soft Parade. The ensemble reached professional recognition in 2012 when they were nominated for an FM4 Award at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards. Their discography also included the single "Stay" (2011) and the single "Colourblind" (2014).
