ghstpunk is a kid born in a suburban hellhole where the only thing growing faster than the weeds were the number of criminal offences. Yan was raised on a front-row seat of a freak show circus where the main attraction was the neighborhood brawls. And he wasn’t just watching - he was that one idiot who saw a car crash and said: "I can do that too!". Breaking bones, blowing up cow shit and, oh yeah, being forced to witness his buddy become an Ebay version of Riley Reid for some local thugs. What a heartwarming tale.
Yan decided that if you can’t beat them, you gotta become the best of them. He joined the chaos with gusto, living the kind of reckless life that would make Lady Gaga smoke nervously. Yan dove headfirst into drugs like they were a kiddie pool but after a while he suffered a massive overdose worthy of an Olympic Medal. Or an Ig Nobel Prize.
Then, in a plot twist nobody asked for, he decided to buy a guitar and a mic. He bounced from one failing band to another but success always seemed just out of reach, like the last slice of pizza at a party full of stoners. But just when it seemed like Yan was destined to be a musical disappointment, he stumbled into the musical wizard HRETSKI, human version of the word miracle, a divine messenger sent straight from the heavenly realm, and suddenly, everything changed.
Now Yan is known as ghstpunk, the guy who finally turned his train wreck of a life into something that actually makes noises worth listening to.
