Alexander Sacha Paley is a pianist and conductor born in the Soviet Union in 1956. Paley completed piano studies at the Moscow Conservatory in 1981. In 1984, they received the first prize at the International Jean-Sébastien-Bach Competition and the Bösendorfer Prize. Paley received the Grand Prix at the Pantcho-Vladiguerov International Competition in 1986. After emigrating to the United States in 1988, Paley performed with orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre National de France. Their recordings include Weber: Piano Music, Vol. 1-4 (1994), Scriabin: Etudes (Complete) (1997), Tchaikovsky: Grande Sonate & The Seasons (2014), and Rameau: suite en Mi & Suite en Ré (2015).
