Nayden Vladislavov Todorov, also known as Nayden Todorov, was born on April 8, 1974, in Plovdiv, People's Republic of Bulgaria, and is a conductor and cultural manager. He studied under Uroš Lajovic and Günther Theuring in Vienna, as well as Mendi Rodan in Jerusalem. He made his professional conducting debut with the Vratsa Philharmonic Orchestra in 1993 at the invitation of chief conductor Veselin Baychev and was appointed the orchestra's chief conductor in 1995. He has led orchestras and operas across Europe, including engagements at the Wiener Volksoper and Belgrade National Opera. In 2000, at age 26, he became General Music Director at the State Opera Plovdiv. He has collaborated with notable singers such as Placido Domingo and Sonya Yoncheva. His discography includes Minkus' Don Quixote (2003) and Rachmaninoff's Opera Highlights (2006). He received the Emil-Tchakarov Prize in 2014 for his contributions to Bulgarian music. In 2025, he was awarded the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Republic.
