Hector Bizerk were a Scottish experimental hip-hop ensemble from Glasgow, active between 2011 and 2016. The group was founded by the drummer Audrey Tait and the rapper John Louis, known as “Louie”. They later expanded to include Jennifer Muir and Fraser Sneddon. Their recording career began with the eponymous extended play Hector Bizerk (2011), which featured the track “Burst Love” (2011). The track was selected as the BBC Introducing Track of the Month. They released the debut studio recording Drums.Rap.Yes (2012), followed by the studio recording Nobody Seen Nothing (2013). They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording The Waltz of Modern Psychiatry (2015), written as a soundtrack for the Birds of Paradise Theatre Company. In 2014, they received the Best Hip Hop award at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards. Their discography includes the compilation The Second City of the Empire (2016).
