Eddie Taylor Jr.

Edward Taylor, known professionally as Eddie Taylor Jr., was born on March 27, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, and was a guitarist and singer-songwriter. He began his career performing locally and collaborating with notable blues musicians such as Hubert Sumlin and Sam Lay. Taylor released Lookin' for Trouble (1998), a tribute album to his father, on Wolf Records. Despite health challenges, including kidney failure in 2002, Taylor released albums like Worried About My Baby (2004) and Mind Game (2006). He contributed to the soundtrack of the 2008 film Cadillac Records. Other notable albums include I Got to Make This Money, Baby (2009) and From the Country to the City (2010). He released the compilation album So-Called Friends: His Best 15 Songs (2012), followed by his final studio album Stop Breaking Down (2015). Taylor passed away on March 8, 2019, at the age of 46 due to heart failure.
