Mice Parade is an American indie rock project led by New York-based percussionist Adam Pierce, whose name forms the band’s anagrammatic title. Originally a solo venture, the group began with instrumental compositions blending intricate percussion, electronica, and post-rock influences. Early albums such as The True Meaning of Boodleybaye (1998) and Ramda (1999) showcased Pierce’s complex percussive techniques blended with electronica influences, while Mokoondi (2001) expanded the sound with African and Eastern influences. Later releases introduced vocals from artists including Somi, Lætitia Sadier, and Caroline Lufkin. Over time, Mice Parade developed a more accessible indie sound while retaining its complex rhythms and eclectic arrangements. After a nine-year hiatus, the band returned in 2022 with lapapọ.
