The definition of a one man band, Shaun Pace is the sole member and brainchild behind the solo project Paperclips. Gaining momentum because of a pandemic, and fueled by a past rife with loss and trauma, Shaun uses his musical talents to perform the entire music production process, from playing each instrument, to final mix, single handedly.
In retrospect, Paperclips aims to deliver a modern revival of older styles, citing influences Atreyu, It Dies Today, Zao, The Bled, Chiodos, etc., fusing post-hardcore, emo, metalcore, and math rock, with harsh screamed vocals, meaningful deep lyrics, heavy downtuned riffs, and odd time signatures.
