The sound of Prom Dress was first created in the 'burb of Carlton, Melboune AUS, where Michael found a battered and bruised nylon-string acoustic and began writing. The songs were inspired by underdogs from all pockets of society, and designed to spread messages of courage, strength & positivity; along with sharing tales of legends of the past! Flying back to the UK, Michael began recording the unique demos in his parents attic in South Devon, using an 11 year old version of Steinberg Cubase and whatever guitars, synths and toys he could find. These Demos were then taken to Propagation House Studio (Bude) and transformed into the upcoming debut EP Attic Thoughts, with help from producer/wizard James Bragg, drum doctor Jake Horn, and guitar & bass bandit Simon Tate!
