God Seed was a black metal band formed in 2009 in Bergen, Norway. The group was founded by former Gorgoroth musicians Gaahl and King ov Hell. Initially, God Seed released no material due to internal conflicts. However, in 2012, Gaahl revived the project with King ov Hell, adding new members including Stian "Sir" Kårstad and Lust Kilman on guitars, Kenneth Kapstad on drums, and Geir Bratland on keyboards. Their debut album I Begin was released in 2012, via Indie Recordings. The band toured extensively in Europe, performing at notable festivals such as the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium and with acts like Cradle of Filth and Cult of Luna.
