Hour of 13 was an American doom metal band formed in Hickory, North Carolina in 2006. The band's name is derived from the film City of the Dead. In 2007, Hour of 13 released their self-titled debut album on Shadow Kingdom Records. The following year, vocalist Phil Swanson left the band, but returned later that same year, reforming the duo with Davis. In 2010, they released their second album The Ritualist via Eyes Like Snow. Swanson departed again in 2011 and was replaced by Ben Hogg, but rejoined later that year to work on a new album, 333, which was released in May 2012 through Earache Records. The band's debut music video "Who's to Blame?" was released in late 2012. After a hiatus, Hour of 13 announced their comeback in 2016.
