Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau

Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau is a German orchestra from Dessau established in 1766. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career that began after the ensemble was founded as a court orchestra by the musician Friedrich Wilhelm Rust. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing the work “Der Tod Jesu” (Graun) in 1768.
