Sasu Ripatti, known professionally as Vladislav Delay, is a Finnish electronic musician born in 1976. He began his career releasing EPs and albums on underground labels like Raster-Noton and Force Tracks, before founding Huume Recordings. Early works included Ele (1999) and Entain (2000), showcasing his unique approach to synthesizing and live reprocessing. In 2005, Ripatti released The Four Quarters, followed by notable albums such as Whistleblower (2007) and Tumaa (2009). He collaborated with Moritz von Oswald and Max Loderbauer in the Moritz von Oswald Trio from 2009 to 2015, releasing two albums and a live LP. Ripatti's work under various pseudonyms, including Luomo, Ripatti, and Uusitalo, showcased diverse styles ranging from minimal techno to house and footwork.
