Marcel Scheffers, known professionally as Marcel Woods, is a former Dutch trance disc jockey and music producer from Eindhoven, Netherlands. He began his career in 1990 and established himself as a successful trance producer. His early releases include the Driver EP (1997) and the single “De Bom 2001” (2001), followed by his most successful single, “Advanced” (2005), which served as the official anthem for the Trance Energy 2006 festival. He also released the singles “Time's Running Out” (2003) and “Cherry Blossom” (2005). His mix compilations include ID&T Hardtrance 4 (2004), High Contrast Recordings presents Marcel Woods (2006), and the Musical Madness series (2008–2011). He also collaborated with Tiësto on the single “Don't Ditch” (2011). At the end of 2014, he retired from performing and producing to focus on his music agency, 2-Dutch, where his roster of managed artists includes Showtek and Jordy Dazz.
