Anette Askvik is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and composer born on May 7, 1983, in Stavanger. She received a bachelor's degree in song from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane after studying in Australia between 2006 and 2009. Her recording career began with the debut studio recording Roses (2006) followed by the studio recording Liberty (2011), which was recorded in Oslo with producer Øystein Sevåg and featured bassist Audun Erlien. Askvik established the record label Bird in 2010 and performed international tours across the United States and Europe in locations including Germany, England, and France. She has reached professional recognition for composing musical scores for documentaries broadcast by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, including the award-winning production 22.07. Her discography included the single "Supernova" (2015), the studio recording Multiverse (2016), and the studio recordings With Every Cell (2023) and Lyden av snø (2023).
