Trigo Limpio was a Spanish folk trio formed in 1975, consisting of Amaya Saizar, Iñaki de Pablo, and Luis Carlos Gil. The trio gained early recognition with their debut single "Muñeca" and participated in the OTI Festival in 1977 with "Rómpeme, mátame". Their breakthrough came with "María Magdalena", a hit composed by Juan Carlos Calderón that topped charts across Latin America in 1978. The song was later adapted into French for Julie Pietri, achieving significant success. Trigo Limpio released several albums, including Trigo Limpio (1976), Caminado (1980), and Como Un Sueño (1983). They represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980 with "Quédate Esta Noche", following Amaya Saizar's departure from the group. The band disbanded in 1990, leaving behind a legacy in Spanish music.
