Country Gazette were an American progressive bluegrass ensemble formed in 1971. The group was established by Byron Berline and Roger Bush and later included Kenny Wertz and Alan Munde. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style blending traditional bluegrass with contemporary songs. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording A Traitor in Our Midst! (1972). Following tours of Europe and the United Kingdom, they recorded the studio recording Don't Give Up Your Day Job (1973). The ensemble includes members Roland White and Dave Ferguson. Their discography includes the studio recordings Out to Lunch (1976), What a Way to Make a Living (1977), and American and Clean (1981). The ensemble became inactive in 1991.
