Sturm und Drang was a Finnish heavy metal band formed in Vaasa in 2004 and active until 2014. Combining power metal with traditional heavy metal and hard rock, the group attracted early attention because its members were only 15–16 years old when their debut album, Learning to Rock (2007), was released. The album reached number 3 in Finland, earned platinum certification, and launched tours across Europe and Japan. Its follow-up, Rock 'n Roll Children (2008), debuted at number 2 and was certified gold. After a hiatus and lineup changes, the band released Graduation Day (2012). During their career, Sturm und Drang sold nearly 100,000 copies of their first two albums combined before disbanding in 2014 as members pursued other projects.
