Padi is an Indonesian rock band consisting of Satriyo Yudi Wahono ("Piyu"), Andi Fadly Arifuddin, Ari Tri Sosianto, Rindra Risyanto Noor, and Surendro Prasetyo ("Yoyo"). The band began as "Soda" while the members were students at Airlangga University. They renamed themselves Padi in 1997, a name symbolizing prosperity. Their debut album Lain Dunia was released in 1999 under Sony Music and included hits such as "Sudahlah" and "Mahadewi", achieving quadruple platinum status in 2001. Their second album, Sesuatu Yang Tertunda, was released in 2001, sold approximately two million copies, and won four awards at the 2001 Anugerah Music Indonesia (AMI) awards. Padi released the album Indera Keenam in 2019, followed by Dua Delapan in 2026.
