Green Lizard, a rock band from Tilburg, Netherlands, was formed in 1994 and gained recognition in 1996 by winning the Grand Prize of the Netherlands. Their first significant release was the EP The Nine (1997), produced by Jack Endino. In 2000, Green Lizard released their debut album Identity, featuring the single "Turn Around", which won a Golden Calf award for its music video. They performed at the Pinkpop festival that year and again in 2001. Their second album, Newborn (2002), included guest appearances from Henry Rollins. The band toured extensively with acts like Alien Ant Farm and Deftones, performing at festivals including Roskilde and Lowlands. In 2006, they released Las Armas Del Silencio. Internal changes led to the band's suspension of activities in 2008 but reunited in 2012.
