Schrottgrenze is a German indie-rock band founded in 1994 in Peine by Saskia Tsitsigias and Timo Sauer. The group gained initial traction with their debut EP Unehrlich, verlogen und stinkfaul (1995) and first album Auf die Bärte, fertig, los!!!. Their breakthrough came with the release of Super in 1998, marking the peak of their early pop-punk phase. Schrottgrenze later transitioned to a wavier indie-rock and post-punk sound, releasing albums such as Vaganten und Renegaten (2003) and Das Ende unserer Zeit (2004). The band's lineup evolved over the years. Schrottgrenze released several critically acclaimed albums, including Glitzer auf Beton (2017) and Alles zerpflücken (2019), which reached number 53 on the German album charts. The band addressed themes of queer identity and social issues in their later works. Schrottgrenze disbanded in 2010 but reunited for several performances, including a set at the Uebel & Gefährlich club in Hamburg in 2014.
