Aunt Mary, a Norwegian progressive rock band from Fredrikstad formed in 1969, emerged from Norway’s vibrant rock scene with an original lineup consisting of Bjørn Kristiansen, Jan Groth, Svein Gundersen, and Ketil Stensvik. The group signed with Polydor and released their self-titled debut album in 1970, followed by Loaded in 1972 and Janus in 1973. Despite disbanding in 1973, Aunt Mary reunited for several concerts beginning in 1978. The band was also among the Norwegian acts nominated for the Rockheim Hall of Fame.
