Sparkadia was an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 2004 by Alexander Burnett and David Hall. Initially known as The Spark, they released their debut extended play, Things Behind the Sun, in 2007, which peaked in the ARIA Singles Chart top 100 for four weeks. They transitioned into a full band with the addition of Nick Rabone and Josephine Ayling in 2006 and Tiffany Preece replacing Ayling in 2008. Sparkadia released their studio album, Postcards, in 2008, which peaked at number 23 on the ARIA Albums Chart. By 2009, it was Burnett's solo project, and under that guise he released The Great Impression (2011), which reached number 8 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
