Andreas "Ritschi" Ritschard, born on March 7, 1979, in Interlaken, Switzerland, is a Swiss dialect pop singer. He began his musical journey in 1997 by founding the band Plüsch with four other musicians. Ritschard served as the lead singer and lyricist for the group. In 2005 and 2006, he pursued solo projects, collaborating with artists like Sina and Bligg. His debut solo album Probier mi doch mal us was released in 2009, narrowly missing Number 1 on the Swiss Hitparade but achieving gold status. The single "Schisstäg" from this album reached number 14 on the charts. In June 2009, Ritschard participated in the charity single "Stahn uf", which topped the Swiss Hitparade and supported Swiss up-and-coming artists. His second solo album Öpfelboum u Palme reached Number 1 on the Swiss album charts in 2014.
