Woog Riots, an indie pop music group from Darmstadt, Germany, was formed by Silvana Battisti and Marc Herbert. Their pop career began in 2002 with an international tribute album for The Fall, released on Alfred Hilsberg's label What’s So Funny About. The duo's first three albums—Strangelove TV, Pasp, and Post Bomb Chronicles—were also released under this label. In 2008, Woog Riots transitioned into a duo after several lineup changes. Their music often addresses cultural, pop, and political themes through catchy, English-language garage Broadway hits. The group toured extensively in the USA, UK, Finland, Italy, Poland, and the Netherlands, building a strong underground network. In 2013, they founded their own label From Lo-Fi To Disco! and released the album of the same name. Notable releases include "King Of Pop" (2004), Alan Rusbridger (2016), and Cut-up and Paste (2019).
