Judith René Bérard, known professionally as Judith Bérard, was born on September 30, 1970, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She began her career at nine, performing as a singer on Quebec television during the International Year of the Child in 1979. Her early involvement included various commercials and charitable projects, such as the song "Les Yeux de la faim" in 1985. Her musical journey continued with her role as Cristal in the rock opera Starmania from 1993 to 1997, where she performed alongside notable artists. The production won a Prix Félix in 1994 and a Victoire du spectacle musical in 1995. Her work on the Starmania album Mogador 94 earned her a platinum record with over 500,000 copies sold. In 1998, she was featured as the voice of Pocahontas in the French version of the Disney film and released the single "Au seuil de mon avenir" on Walt Disney Records. Her debut album Ailleurs was released in September 1999 in Quebec and October 2000 in Europe, featuring hits like "I miss U so". She also performed as a supporting act for Patrick Bruel during his concerts. In 2002, she starred in the musical Cindy, which was produced by Luc Plamondon. Her second solo album, Itinéraire, was released in 2012, followed by her third album Tant qu'on rêve in October 2013. Throughout her career, Bérard has been involved in various charitable initiatives and continues to be active in the music industry.
