Arthemesia, a Finnish metal band formed in 1994, was founded by guitarist and vocalist Valtias Mustatuuli and guitarist Routa. Initially known as Celestial Agony, the band recorded their first demo in 1998 with Jari "Arbaal" Mäenpää on guitar, Jukka-Pekka Miettinen on bass, and Oliver Fokin on drums. Their debut full-length studio album, Devs Iratvs, was released in 2001, compiled from various demos recorded prior to its launch. The band later released the promo EP ShamaNatahS in 2006. The band's lineup saw significant changes over the years, including the departure of Jari Mäenpää who went on to form Wintersun. Notable members included Mikael Omega Sanctum, Erzebeth Meggadeath, and Kai Hahto. Arthemesia disbanded in 2010, leaving behind a discography that includes a.O.a. (Alpha Omega Alpha), released in 2009.
