Ronan Le Bars, born April 8, 1968, in Guingamp, France, is a French musician known for his skill with traditional instruments. He started playing Scottish bagpipes at eight and later discovered uilleann pipes through Irish music. By 18, he joined the Bagad de Lann-Bihoué and formed Maogan in the late 1980s. Le Bars' breakthrough came with participating in the Rêves de Siam soundtrack. He collaborated with notable artists like Gilles Servat, Didier Squiban, and Alan Stivell. He released his debut album, Bimis Ag Ol, in 1997. Le Bars was named a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2018.
